Scope and contact
This policy describes the TopVPNGuru website at topvpnguru.com. It is effective from 16 October 2026. The publisher contact for privacy questions and requests is info@topvpnguru.com; include “TopVPNGuru privacy” in the subject.
Hosting and request data
The site runs on Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting a page involves processing network request information, which may include an IP address, browser information, requested URL, timing, and diagnostic information. Hosting logs and security services may process this information for operation, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
We use this information to operate the publication and keep it available. We do not use third-party advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. Cloudflare’s own processing is described in its privacy policy.
Search and comparison tools
Site search filters a published content index in your browser. Provider comparison also runs in the browser. These tools do not require an account and do not store a persistent personal profile. A page URL, including a search or comparison query string, may still appear in normal hosting request data when that URL is requested or shared.
The launch site does not set optional advertising or analytics cookies. Security infrastructure may use cookies or similar mechanisms when needed to deliver or protect the site. See the cookie policy.
Outbound and affiliate links
Some provider links are affiliate links. Following one can pass through a third-party network before reaching the provider. The destination may receive request information and may set cookies under its own policy. The provider controls any information you submit there, including account and payment data.
We do not receive your VPN password or payment-card details through an ordinary affiliate redirect. See the affiliate disclosure for how commissions relate to the publication.
First-party referral measurement
A small first-party script labels eligible provider-link navigations with a broad category for how the current page was entered, such as Google, another search engine, a campaign, an internal link or an unknown source. It reads the page’s referral and campaign information to select that category; it does not copy external referral URLs, search terms or campaign identifiers into the custom click event.
The custom event contains the selected provider, the published TopVPNGuru page path without its query string, that broad category, a schema version and a production-or-QA label. We use these records to compare which content leads to provider visits. A click is not proof of a person, purchase or commission, and the category is not a session history or reliable organic-versus-paid classification.
This helper creates no cookies, browser storage, visitor identifiers or cross-site profiles. It honors a browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal by skipping the custom event. Browser and network restrictions can also prevent measurement. These choices do not prevent an affiliate redirect or change the destination provider’s own data practices.
Custom events use Cloudflare Workers Logs, whose current retention is three days on the Free plan and seven days on Paid. We may retain aggregate counts in editorial reports for longer; these reports contain no visitor identifiers. Ordinary hosting and security records are separate and can contain the request information described above. See Cloudflare’s log documentation.
Email correspondence
If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond, review a correction, handle the request, and retain a relevant correspondence record. Do not send account credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.
We retain operational and correspondence information only as needed for the relevant purpose and applicable obligations. Retention and processing by infrastructure and email providers also depend on their services and settings.
Requests and your choices
Contact the publisher to ask about information associated with your interaction or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Include enough context to identify the request. We may need proportionate information to verify that it relates to you, and some operational records may be limited by retention or legal requirements.
You can choose whether to follow an external link or contact us. Browser settings can control cookies and stored website data, though some security checks may be necessary to access a service.
Changes
If the site’s data practices change, this policy should be updated with a new effective date. The policy describes the launch implementation rather than assuming that every tool or tracking service used on another publication also runs here.
